Home & Away, a series of rebrews bringing some of Garage Project's funniest overseas collaborations back to the Garage. For this release Garage Project brings Ghost Grip, originally brewed with pioneering Beijing craft brewery Jing-A. Crisp dry-hopped pilsner brewed with Phantasm infused Nelson Sauvin and Xiangshui Lemon, Grapefruit and Pink Pomelo oils, it's an explosion of bright citrus and expressive hop aromatics. Bringing home the goodness.

Watch your step. Buzz Tail - Double Dry Hopped West Coast Rye IPA. Hopped with a 'C' heavy hit of Columbus, Centennial, Citra and Cashmere, crisp, mouth-watering bitterness is balanced perfectly with bright juicy malt, elevated with a touch of spicy rye malt and overlaid with pink grapefruit, tangerine citrus and earthy Kush resin aromatics. IPA with a twist in its tail.

It's treat time. Krush Treats, an extra pale base of malted barley and wheat, double dry hopped exclusively with the newly launched Yakima grown hop Krush (formally known as HBC 586). It's a super smooth lush IPA that's bursting with orange citrus, tropical mango and guava, juicy peach and mixed berries. Go on, treat oneself.

On the palate, Magical Unicorn offers an intricate tapestry of flavours. Tropical fruits dominate, with mango and melon taking centre stage, complemented by hints of peach and blueberry. The malt backbone provides just enough sweetness to support the fruitiness, while the bitterness is clean and crisp, coming through with an assertive citrus and pine note that adds depth and balance. The finish is dry and remarkably clean, with a lingering bitterness that beckons the next sip.

Before the Auckland Skytower, the pinnacle of Aotearoa's expansive skyline was the New Plymouth Power Station's Chimney Stack, climbing a lofty 198m into the clouds. Situated next to Port Taranaki, and just down the road from the condom factory, this whopping structure was completed in 1972 with a continuous pour of concrete and still remains the second highest man-made structure in the country. The chimney was a flue to the power station's thermal energy, relying on Taranaki's abundant supply of natural gas and oil. Now redundant, the chimney remains in place as the only way to remove it would be to push it into the ocean.

Trailblazers West Coast Brewing, from Shizuoka City, Japan, join Garage Project for Southern Stargazer. Over at Bach they've been on Freesyle hop-farms in Moutere valley, rubbing and sniffing the pungent new season sticky hop cones. Sticky and dank with Lupulin, they've steeped massive loads of fresh harvested green Nelson Sauvin hop cones, flown same day to their brewers, Chris and Craig at Steam Brewery, and backed up by new season hop pellets of Riwaka, Motueka and Sauvin, also fast-tracked by Freestyle in record time.

I've got a fever, and the only prescription... is more Riwaka! Listen, kid, this ain't just any Hazy Pale Ale - this is Ri-Walken. The classic Californian West Coast IPA style originates from the late 70's and emerged in NZ circa just twenty years ago. All about the perfect balance between alcohol, malted barley, and high intensity of hops, to deliver max flavour and drinkability, they brewed their more modern take with a truckload of fruit driven hops including Idaho 7, Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe.
