Hapi, the Maori word for hop, inspires this truly Pacific pale ale. Brewed with New Zealand barley and the best of the Kiwi hop harvest, Motueka, Wai-iti, Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin. Assertively hoppy - exceptionally drinkable. Sessionble in strength, bright golden in colour and loaded with generous quantities of aromatic New Zealand hops. Very friendly indeed.

Bright golden IPA with clean, snappy bitterness and luscious lifted notes of citrus, feijoa and ripe stone fruit. Just pure refreshment - it's Kiwi in a can.

A unique celebration of some of New Zealand's finest wild food. Brewed using hand smoked pohutukawa malt and finished with foraged kawakawa leaves and an addition of Moon Shell clams to the boil. Rich sweet amber malt, savoury smoke and spicy kawakawa meld with a subtle hint of ocean brine. Originally brewed for the Hokitika Wild Food Festival.

The arrival of hops to the brewing scene in England in the 1500s led to a moral panic, hops were described as 'a Wicked, & Pernicious Weed', feared to bring the downfall of civilized society. Thankfully, they were right.

Home & Away, a series of rebrews bringing some of our funnest overseas collaborations back to the Garage. For this release we turn to the dark side with South Pacific Soufflé Stout, first brewed with Boston's beer bosses, Trillium. Brewed with Tongan vanilla pods, cacao nibs and Timor-Leste grown coffee beans from Wellington's own Flight Coffee, this huge dessert stout pours an opaque jet black with luscious layers of vanilla gelato, burnt marshmallow, chewy dried fruits and mocha latté. Bringing home the goodness.

Named after the gentle 'plum rain' that falls in Japan as the ume harvest ripens, Tsuyu is a new take on the Saison style. Brewed with New Zealand Motueka, American Simcoe and Hallertau Blanc hops, Tsuyu is aged in freshly emptied New Zealand Chardonnay barrels and infused with ume plum and red shiso leaf. The result is a complex and fascinating fusion of East, West and South. Kanpai! Originally brewed in Japan in collaboration with Tokyo's Coedo Brewery and US West Coast brewery Stone.

Deckchair Hazy IPA (5.2%) looks hazy and pale gold, and has aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, and gooseberry. On the palate it's full bodied, with a soft bitterness.

A tribute to the ominous fog that rolls through Hamilton. It's a style of beer that's grown in popularity in recent times, thanks to craft beer fans preferring to chew their IPAs. With minimal filtering, this brew has all the good bits left in, and as a result has a full body and smooth, creamy finish.
