Aged in traditional oak casks and finished in Caribbean rum casks which result in a well-rounded whisky with notes of toffee, fruit and vanilla.

To create The Balvenie PortWood 21 year old single malt whisky, a marriage of rare Balvenie is transferred to port casks, or pipes, which have held fine port wines. Here it is sampled regularly by The Balvenie Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the port casks, enhancing and developing the single malt whilst preserving its original characteristics.

Under the watchful eye of Dalmore's Master Distiller, the spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This is the perfect start to the maturation journey as it develops their house style of chocolate, orange and spice. This Dalmore is then fully finished in casks having held a very unique sherry, created especially for The Dalmore - a blend of classic & aged oloroso and rich & sweet Pedro Ximénez, formulated to provide the perfect enhancement to their house style. The result is a stunning and elegant Dalmore single malt, bursting with sweet fruit and decadent spice.

The Dalmore 15 year old was first launched in 2007. Matured in Matusalem, Apostoles and Amoroso Sherry casks, it proffers all those winter spice, orange zest and chocolate notes characteristic of Dalmore.

Every November, the Dalmore whisky makers visit the distilleries historic sandstone warehouses to explore the ageing casks. In the chill shadows, the casks are meticulously assessed and only a handful with distinguishing attributes are hand selected from any one year. The matured Spirit from these casks is then masterfully married to create on harmonious vintage- a rare whisky that reveals the soul of that single year at the Dalmore.

Under the watchful eye of Dalmore's Master Distiller, the liquid is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then transferred to Gonzalez Byass casks which have held 30YO Matusalem oloroso sherry. This additional enhancement period allows true flavour enrichment as the liquid changes profile in the cask and really allows the potential to shine through. A multifaceted whisky with a higher strength at 43.8% exposes real rarities in flavour. This is a true coming of age whisky. Aroma Seville oranges, bitter chocolate, Colombian coffee and vanilla. Palate Sweet liquorice stick, Black Forest fruits, roasted walnuts and thick marzipan. Finish Peaches, ginseng, pear tarte tatin and Sanguinello blood oranges.

An indulgent, smooth Highland Single Malt matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks and aged Tawny Port pipes. The Aroma: Sweet red berries, Seville oranges, plummy fruits, and sticky toffee pudding. The Palate: Nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnuts, and Java coffee. The Finish: Rich plums, sultanas, Sanguinello blood oranges, and macerated cherries.

Matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for a minimum of 21 years, constantly watched over by the Parliament of Rooks who next at the Distillery, the outstanding whisky continues great GlenDronach tradition of offering fruit-laden intensity in its single malts.

This whisky has, unusually, been distilled using peated malted barley. The GlenDronach 'peated' pays homage to the peat historically used to dry malted barley in the traditional floor maltings. Matured in bourbon casks followed by a second period of maturation in the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.
