Rittenhouse Rye is an award-winning American whiskey with roots dating back to 1934, inspired by the heritage of Philadelphia's historic Rittenhouse Square. Known for its bold spice, robust character, and subtle sweetness, it offers exceptional versatility - equally suited to crafting classic cocktails or enjoying neat. Produced under strict government supervision, it meets all Bottled-in-Bond standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every pour. The first release of the unique Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey style - triple pot distilled, and introducing oats to a mash bill of malted and unmalted Irish barley. It was at the Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street where local patrons were served toddies made with Rye Whiskey and Peychaud's Bitters. The libation became known as the 'Sazerac' and America's first branded cocktail was born. This is the whiskey that started it all. Aromas of clove, vanilla, anise and pepper.
